So yeah, slow week. Oh wait. Exploding out of nowhere like a suicide bomber, fragments of NS2 info have embedded themselves in our flesh. Let us reflect upon the past few days events while we writhe in agony and slowly bleed out. Good analogy, no? No?
It looks like 95% of total sales are for the US$40 Special Edition, which is pretty incredible. It made Flayra cry. Wipe away those tears with dollars bills, friend. Further comments in his NS E-Team email:
So far, sales have beyond our expectations and the response has been pretty amazing! Our community web-site is sporadically up and down due to huge traffic, but we’re working on that now.
For those of you that are worried about how your preorder will play with Steam, a special FAQ has been set up to answer your questions. It seems there’s still a bit of confusion around the whole thing but we’ll see what happens. Valve and UW tend to look after their customers in my experience.
Now on to this weeks megalist updates:
-
- See our frame-by-frame analysis of the trailer
- Further further confirmation of the Fall 09 release date in the teaser trailer
- No ETA on the alpha
- In regards to the preorder and Steam:
- “Pre-order is stand-alone and will auto-update, but assume it doesn’t include the Steam version.” -preorder page
- “If I pre-order NS2, can I play on Steam?
There’s a good chance of this, but we can’t promise it yet. Once NS2 is using Steamworks and Steam, Valve will probably be able to make this happen, but that’s to be determined later. For now, we can’t promise this. “-preorderfaq
